The work of the Preparatory Committee for the Fifth Conference of the Arab Parliament and the heads of Arab councils and parliaments was concluded under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament. Facing the Arab nation in this pivotal and important file, and presenting a number of recommendations that can contribute to addressing this issue in preparation for submitting it to the heads of Arab parliaments for approval during the Fifth Conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments, which is organized by the Arab Parliament and is scheduled to start next Saturday at the headquarters of the League of States. During Al-Assoumi presiding over the work of the meetings of the Preparatory Committee, he stressed in his opening speech the importance of the conference, which comes in light of the difficult challenges facing our Arab region, in which it is going through many challenges, foremost of which is the food security crisis, which has a high priority as it constitutes a serious challenge as it constitutes Arab national security, calling for solidarity All Arab efforts at all governmental and parliamentary levels in order to face this pressing challenge, noting at the same time the keenness of the Arab Parliament to invest its fifth conference with the heads of Arab councils and parliaments in order to come up with a parliamentary vision towards this issue.
